Introduction

MV Jewelry Exchange ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website mvjewelryexchange.com and our store at 12625 Frederick St, Suite F-11, Moreno Valley, CA 92553. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you fill out a quote or contact form, or otherwise contact us, we collect:

• Your name and phone number
• Your email address, if you give it
• A description of the items you want to sell or have appraised
• Whether you agreed to receive marketing texts or emails, and when

We also collect technical information automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the referring website, and how you arrived at our site. That includes ad click IDs and campaign tags from the link you followed, which we keep in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days so we can tell which ads and pages bring us sellers.

How We Use Your Information

• To respond to your request by phone call, text message, or email, and give you a quote
• To send you marketing texts or emails, only if you opted in
• To measure and improve our advertising and our website
• To keep records of our purchases and comply with legal obligations, including California secondhand dealer reporting

Text Messages

When you send us a quote request, we may call or text you about that request. Separately, if you check the text message box on our form, we may text you offers and gold price updates at the number you gave us. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to marketing texts is never required to get a quote or sell to us.

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from us, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop by calling (951) 656-9300. We do not sell or share your phone number or text message consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Emails

We email you about your request if you gave us your address. If you opted in, we may also send occasional offers and updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we stop sending marketing emails promptly after you unsubscribe.

Service Providers and Advertising Partners

We use these companies to run our website, handle requests, and measure our ads:

• Vercel and Supabase host our website and the database where we keep and follow up on quote requests.
• Mailgun delivers the notification email we receive when you submit a form. See Mailgun's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics tells us how visitors use our site, such as pages visited and time on site.
• Google Ads measures which ads lead to quote requests and calls, including through a Google forwarding phone number shown to some visitors who arrive from an ad. When you submit a form, Google receives your email and phone number in hashed form to match the request to an ad click (enhanced conversions). Google may also use our site visits to show our ads to past visitors. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Meta Pixel and Conversions API: only if you accept advertising cookies, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives information about your visit and, when you submit a form, your email and phone number in hashed form, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who visited our site. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
• Customer lists: we may upload the email addresses and phone numbers of people who contacted us, in hashed form, to Google and Meta to measure our ads, to avoid showing ads to existing customers, or to show our ads to people who already asked us for a quote. We never upload contacts who opted out of marketing.

Facebook, Instagram & Messenger

If you message us on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or WhatsApp, we receive your name, profile picture, and the messages you send. We use them only to reply to you and provide our services. Our use of information from Meta APIs follows the Meta Platform Terms.

Cookies and Your Choices

We use three kinds of cookies:

• Essential: remember your language and privacy choices.
• Analytics: Google Analytics.
• Advertising: Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, to measure and personalize ads.

Use the Your Privacy Choices link at the bottom of any page to accept or decline advertising cookies. If you decline, we turn off ad personalization in Google, the Meta Pixel does not load, and we do not send your form details to advertising partners for ad targeting.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep quote requests and related messages for up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we must keep them longer by law, such as purchase records required of secondhand dealers. We keep a record of opt-out requests so we can honor them.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have collected about you and how we used and shared it
• Delete or correct your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
• Stop "selling" or "sharing" your personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising cookies and customer-list uploads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, use the Your Privacy Choices link, turn on Global Privacy Control, or contact us below.

We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
